Local celebrities were drafted on to teams and free tickets to spectate were given out on a first come, first served basis. The event took place on December 7, one month after the heartbreak began. The urge to help inspired Kevin to organize Bounce Back Thousand Oaks, a dodgeball tournament to raise money for the Ventura County Community Foundation. ⭕Drop off for donation items to support relief efforts Most common donation requests right now are food and animal supplies.Ī post shared by Dojo Boom on at 3:42pm PST ⭕We have dust masks and water for anyone in need. We felt it was important to turn around do what we could to help with the recovery efforts.”ĭojoBoom is up and we're here to help. Some of my employees shared shifts covering each other while taking time to help family evacuate. We stayed open when many businesses in the area were closing their doors. My staff and I choose to focus on our work during those times. The shock of the shooting at Borderline Bar and Grill did not have time to settle when the fires began. Kevin shared with us, “It has been a difficult time for the community and my team at DojoBoom. The staff members, many of whom are locals, were left reeling by the events. The location is less than a mile from the Borderline Bar and Grill. Thousand Oaks is home to DojoBoom, the trampoline and Ninja park managed by American Ninja Warrior competitor Kevin Bull. Just one day later, the Woolsey and Hill Fires ignited, wreaking havoc and forcing evacuations in and around the town. On November 7, the shooting at the Borderline Bar and Grill took 12 lives and injured many more. This place is definitely worth saving up for and making family memories that will last for years to come. The devastation felt by the Thousand Oaks community in California recently is almost unimaginable. Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives and I always make sure to take friends or family when they come to visit, and I’ve never had a dissatisfied guest. But, most of the staff are really great! Also, if you go during a weekend it can get VERY crowded, which takes away from some of the enjoyment, so either go early or during the week. The only drawbacks are the hourly cost, which is pretty expensive and can easily cost over $50 for one hour if you have multiple people jumping, and there are a couple of older staff that will yell at you for the littlest infringement, like being too excited. This place is the perfect place for any active child (or adult) and will leave every guest ready for a nap by the time they leave. This is all complimented by the insanely cool murals covering the walls, making ever attraction an Insta worthy photo spot. And just when you thought you conquered it all you look up to see the inflated floor and extra long extended trampolines, where you can practice tricks. If that wasn’t enough there’s also the frequently redesigned parkour course and jousting battle beams, accompanied by the aerial slicks and giant swinging ring. There’s also the trapeze bar, giant swing, and zip line that launch you into foam pits, which are right next to the never-ending rock wall and professionally designed Ninja Warrior course, complete with two warped walls. Sure, there is a huge arena filled with trampolines that launch you into the air, some of which that have punching bags hanging above, but it’s the towering jumping platforms, intense dodge ball court, basketball dunking stations, and super tramps that start to set it apart, and that’s only the beginning. If you are seeking an epic experience that will get your heart pumping and face smiling, then you must visit Dojoboom! Some confuse it as a simple trampoline park, but they are so wrong.
